Dancehall proposes something else: start by feeling the music, not by solving it. Born in Jamaica, it is more than a collection of steps: it is music, culture and social dance, a vocabulary built over time by Jamaican dancers and communities. We don't strip the moves of their context to build quick choreography. We learn the language before we try to write sentences with it.
The first three weeks are the foundation: bounce, groove, weight transfer, posture, coordination and the first foundation steps. In the next three we start combining the vocabulary, with variations, transitions, musicality and flow.
